When people think about dogs, they usually think about all the negatives of owning them. They think about the barking and caretaking that is involved with owning a dog. However, the positives of owning a dog outweigh the negatives. I have owned dogs my entire life and trust me when I say that dogs are way more than just a nuisance.
One reason why people should own a dog is because they are a good source of protection. Many people see barking as annoying, which is true sometimes. However, dogs bark in order to warn you about strange activity. My dogs go nuts every time they see the delivery man in our yard. They do this to let us know that someone is on our property. Dogs don’t try to annoy you on purpose. They just want to protect you from all the bad guys in the world.
Another reason why people should own a dog is because they can be your best friend. The one thing that I notice the most about dogs is that they are so loyal. Dogs will love you until the day they die. I have never seen something that is so happy to see me after I leave for a couple of hours. They are also great to talk to. If something is on your mind, you can just talk to your dog and they won’t judge you. They also know when you are sad or having a bad day. If they see you being down in the dumps, they will try to make you feel better.
Dogs also make your life ten times more fun. One of my dogs is a hunting dog, so he is constantly looking for something to do. He loves to play fetch, go for walks and car rides, hunt birds, swim, and so much more. This dog keeps me from being bored. If I have some free time, he is always in the mood to do something fun.
Having a dog is way better than not having one. They provide humans with so much. Of course, they can be annoying at times, but that is pretty much anything in our world. Dogs provide us with protection, which is needed especially if you are alone. They also are great pals. They will love you and stick with you for as long as they live. Also, they are so much fun. Dogs can play so many games with you to keep you from being bored. The list of positives outweighs the negatives. So now that you know all the positives of owning a dog, you should find the right one for you. I promise you won’t regret it.
